There are people who are fed up with the hardships of life and give up trying to work hard and live a good life. But there are people who turn their disabilities into strengths and continuously try to make themselves better and better. Such people end up being inspiration for hundreds of other people. One such person is Lindsay Hilton and this is her story.

1 Who is this person?

Lindsay Hilton, 30, from Halifax, Nova Scotia is setting examples for everyone out there with her spirit and will to live. Hilton is a rugby player and the thing that will surprise you most will be the fact that she was born without arms and legs. Hilton has been playing Rugby since high school and even won a scholarship after completing 34 burpees in less than one minute. She has also turned her focus on crossfit that combines Olympic level weight lifting and cardio exercises.

2 How she inspires people?

Hilton uses Velcro and straps in order to lift weights safely. Then her partner removes the hooks so that she can complete a series of burpees and jump over the barbell each time. Her friends have been filming her exercising routines and posting them on Facebook to inspire others. Hilton has never let her disabilities hinder her athleticism and her love for sports. She played every kind of sports since she was a kid. She played soccer in school, hockey and ultimately rugby in high school.

“People have called me inspirational throughout my entire life, I just think, you know, I’m kind of doing everyday activities. Because I’ve been the same way my whole life, I don’t see myself as different than anybody else" said Hilton.
